Metsuri - GameJam

LumberJack or Metsuri is a small top-down pixel art RPG, built in Unity and is set in a wintery forest. You play as a young lumberjack just trying to grab extra firewood when you run into a massive polar bear that's been threatening the safety of the village. Now it's just you and your axe against this seemingly immovable force.

A mini pixel art fighting game for the Freeze GameJam theme by the team Höttö.

Story

After warnings spread in the village about a mysterious beast roaming the woods, most villagers stay away. But one young lumberjack,  axe in hand and courage in heart, ventures out into the forest to gather wood to drive away the gripping cold of winter.

Core gameplay

   One enemy, one arena

   Attack with your axe

   Avoid the bear's heavy swipes 

   Win by defeating the enemy

Keys

• Walk: WASD
• Attack: Space bar or left mouse button

Disclaimer: The game is a bit unfinished so the characters are missing some animations, like damage and death + attack animation for polar bear.
